Process Engineer

About the position

Major and established brand name company has an opportunity for a Process Engineer in the Indianapolis area.  This is a 1st shift position and the hours are typically 6:30AM – 3:30PM, with some flexibility needed to support projects.  There are major company benefits and bonus eligibility of 8%. Vacation is accrued monthly but can be used prior to accruing – 21 days total.  The 401k is matched dollar for dollar up to 6% plus an additional 3% for a total of 9% company contribution.  Relocation assistance is available or for local candidates they can receive a $5,000 sign on bonus. 

Responsibilities –

You will work with the team to develop the skills necessary to remove losses, reduce yield, and improve the safety and quality of the products. You will focus on developing and improving manufacturing standards, developing performance-based specifications, and providing the expertise in troubleshooting performance losses.

  • Manage metrics for the manufacturing line including efficiency, yield, and Daily Management Systems.
  • Be the plant liaison to R&D including conducting trials.
  • Work with plant and corporate Engineering to develop and install new technologies.
  • Create and train new procedures.
  • Analyze results of experiments and trials to provide process recommendations.
  • Provide technical leadership on projects.

Requirements -

  • At least 1 to 2 years as a process engineer
  • BS degree in Chemical, Food, Biological, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
