Position Summary

We are looking for a Manager of Architecture: a high-energy, business-savvy architect who will:

  • Oversee all architectural functions from concept through completion
  • Stamp and seal drawings, ensuring code compliance and quality control
  • Guide an internal design team through creative and technical execution
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Contribute to firm growth through business development and strategic leadership

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership:
  • Lead all project phases—from schematic design to construction administration
  • Stamp and seal drawings; ensure adherence to Florida building codes and permit requirements
  • Serve as project manager on multiple concurrent assignments, coordinating with consultants and contractors
  • Team Management & Mentorship:
  • Oversee workload distribution and workflows for the internal architecture team
  • Mentor and develop junior staff; ensure consistent quality and professional growth
  • Client Engagement:
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients; translate their vision into actionable deliverables
  • Maintain clear communication on budgets, schedules, and design milestones
  • Business Development:
  • Foster existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership to define strategic goals and service offerings
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Maintain proficiency in industry software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Remain current on code changes, permitting processes, and emerging technologies

 

Background Profile

  • Licensure & Experience:
  • Licensed Architect (Florida registration preferred, or ability to obtain quickly)
  • 10+ years of architectural experience across residential, commercial, and civic project types
  • Management & Communication:
  • Proven track record in team leadership and project management
  • Exceptional client-facing skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) is required
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard tools
  • Deep knowledge of Florida building codes, permitting processes, and quality-assurance practices
  • Mindset & Culture Fit:
