Monday - Friday 8:00 to 5:00 Saturday 9:00-4:00
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on proper drug use, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages and interactions.
• Provide counseling to patients on medication adherence, potential side effects, and proper usage.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage controlled substance documentation.
• Oversee pharmacy inventory, including ordering and restocking medications.
• Administer immunizations (if certified and required by state law).
• Stay informed about new medications, treatment guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm).
• Licensure: Active and valid pharmacist license in New York.
• Experience: Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of prescription drugs, disease management, and pharmacy laws.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
