The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate include the following:
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of custom automation and robotic work cells, from concept to production
- Manage multiple design projects strategically, ensuring timely delivery and resolving complex engineering challenges
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and customers to optimize designs and ensure manufacturability
- Create detailed 3D SolidWorks models and drawings, including comprehensive bills of materials
- Drive continuous improvement in design quality and engineering processes
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- Bachelors in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of SolidWorks custom machine design (concept-to-completion)
- 2+ years in automation, welding processes, and customer interface
- An understanding of machine tool, material science, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
- An understanding of machine design and power transmission
- Possess a solid work history
- Being a US citizen or green card holder
- Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
