About the position
Sanitation Supervisor, 3rd shift
Hours 10pm - 6am Wed - Sun.
Report To: Sanitation Manager
In this role you will:
- Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shift
- Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contamination
- Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed
- Pest control application as needed
- Ensure reports are properly maintained and completed timely
- Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed
- Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work policies and procedures
- Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards
- Ensure a safe operation in compliance with all plant safety prevention programs
- Comply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations
- Cooperate with engineering and production departments with required maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
- People Management skills
- Willing to work flexible hours
- Work with cleaning and chemical agents and wear required PPE on a regular basis
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Food Science or Microbiology
- Leadership experience
- Capable of teaching, training, and sharing technical knowledge to operations employees
- Effective Oral and Written Communication
- Computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
