Boiler Field Technician

**Boiler Field Technician**  
**Location: Greenville, SC**  
We are seeking a skilled Boiler Service Technician to service Firetube Package Boilers in hospitals, universities, and manufacturing facilities. This role involves utilizing combustion analyzers, tuning combustion systems, and working with FireEye, Siemens, Honeywell, and Allen Bradley electronics and controls.
Equipment brands may include Cleaver-Brooks, Hurst, PowerFlame, Superior, Fulton, and Oilion, among others. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, setting up, and installing 3-element feedwater control systems, fully metered systems, O2 trim systems, and SCR systems on boiler applications. Candidates must evaluate and recommend suitability of SCR systems based on specific applications, read and modify block logic programs, diagnose component or field device failures, and adjust logic for safe, industry-standard boiler and boiler room operations. Additional duties include reestablishing device-to-computer communications, troubleshooting and installing draft control systems, and servicing all burner designs regardless of combustion theory (e.g., premix, staged, rapid mix). This position requires frequent domestic travel to customer sites as needed.
**Qualifications**:  
- 10+ years of experience setting up, installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing 3-element feedwater control systems, fully metered systems, O2 trim systems, SCR systems, and draft control systems on boiler equipment.  
- 10+ years of experience using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and block logic for boiler combustion system operations.  
- 7+ years of experience with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet) to connect boiler room equipment.  
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing various burner designs using different combustion theories.  
- Willingness to travel domestically to customer locations as required.  
**Duties and Responsibilities**:  
- Perform maintenance and repairs on boiler systems.  
- Provide support and conduct final inspections of boiler system work.  
**Skills and Requirements**:  
- 5+ years of experience as a Boiler Field Technician.  
- Valid Driver’s License.  
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.  
- Extensive experience with industrial steam systems.  
- Deep knowledge of combustion processes.  
- Proficiency with combustion analyzers.  
- Familiarity with common burner management systems (BMS) and combustion control systems (CCS).  
- Working knowledge of AutoFlame, Cleaver-Brooks Hawk ICS, or Fireye Nexus systems.  
- Computer literacy.  
- Experience with NOX reduction techniques.  
- Previous or current experience operating a service vehicle.  
- PLC knowledge is highly advantageous.  
- Hands-on experience with common steam boilers (e.g., Cleaver-Brooks, York Shipley, B&W).
