Our client is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to bring clarity and control to our cost structure in Greenwood, Mississippi. You'll lead critical analysis and partner with ops, supply chain, and finance to sharpen our edge.

Here’s what you’ll own:

  • Lead the charge on product costing and inventory valuation—accuracy matters.

  • Develop and refine cost models for manufacturing and production processes.

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, track variances, and explain what matters.

  • Analyze labor, overhead, and materials costs to pinpoint inefficiencies.

  • Partner cross-functionally to build and manage detailed budgets and forecasts.

  • Conduct inventory audits, resolve discrepancies, and tighten controls.

  • Support the monthly close process with journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Identify, recommend, and implement cost-saving initiatives across the org.

  • Ensure ERP data is clean, current, and working for—not against—you.

  • Keep us compliant with GAAP and internal policies, and improve them where needed.

You bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CMA preferred.

  • 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Mastery of Excel and hands-on ERP experience.

  • Strong analytical chops and a knack for getting into the details without losing the big picture.

  • Confidence, clarity, and a proactive communication style.

  • Bonus points for background in appliance or durable goods manufacturing.
