Keys to Job: Must be experienced and effective with machine and equipment troubleshooting for maintenance; Professionalism and Polished; Job history stability is a key, ideal candidates must not have often job hopped; Plant, Molding and Packaging experience a plus; Note - work shifts will be 38 hours and 48 hours per week, working 12 hour days which will include overtime pay during the 48 hour week. Must have electrical systems experience. Must own set of standard tools.

 Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repair tasks to support a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment.

Role and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Conduct diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, replacing components such as motors, drives, sensors, pumps, and gearboxes, while ensuring precision and adherence to operational standards.
  • Follow work schedules, maintenance orders, technical manuals, schematics, and procedural guidelines.
  • Utilize precision tools (e.g., multimeters, micrometers) for accurate measurements and adjustments.
  • Service, repair, and install various machinery components and systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, production staff, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities.

The Operator will ensure the seamless operation of industrial machinery through skilled diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance, contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including replacing components like motors, sensors, pumps, and control units, while maintaining high standards of precision and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to maintenance schedules, technical diagrams, and procedural guidelines to perform tasks effectively.
  • Operate precision instruments (e.g., voltmeters, calipers) to ensure accurate measurements and adjustments.
  • Install and service a diverse range of equipment components to support production goals.
  • Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

 Physical and Mental Demands

  • Capability to work for prolonged periods in standing, walking, or seated positions, including at computer workstations when necessary.
  • Lift weight of 20-40 pounds safely.
  • Periodic need to crouch, kneel, or operate in confined spaces, with exposure to diverse temperatures or outdoor settings to safely maintain equipment.

 Qualifications and Skills

Expertise in handling electrical systems, including proficiency with wiring for high- and low-voltage applications (120/240, 120/208 & 277/480)

  • Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment, with a focus on minimizing disruptions.
  • Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment, demonstrated by a history of adhering to safety protocols.
  • Reliable attendance record, reflecting a dependable and consistent work ethic.
  • Ownership of a personal set of standard maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with plastic molding or extrusion processes is a plus but not mandatory.

 Education and Background

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Completion of a technical certification, bachelor's or an associate’s degree in a related discipline, or comparable hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required
