Home Health PTA, Physical Therapist Assistant- Full Time

About the position

Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients in the comfort of their own homes? We are seeking a full-time Home Health PTA to join our team in McKinney, where you'll assist in improving patients' mobility and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement care plans to improve patients' physical abilities, following the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and administer manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises.
  • Assist patients in using assistive devices such as crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
  • Instruct patients on wellness and health maintenance, promoting an understanding of therapeutic regimens.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Travel to patients’ homes as needed, driving is required for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in physical therapy.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in home health as a physical therapist.
  • Active state license to practice as a physical therapist assistant, in compliance with professional standards.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with the ability to travel to various locations.
