Engineering Patent Litigation Attorney

About the position

A premier intellectual property litigation team is seeking an attorney with 2-5 years of patent litigation experience to work on complex engineering and technology-related disputes. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical background who are comfortable handling courtroom advocacy, depositions, and direct client interactions.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in patent litigation matters before U.S. District Courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
  • Conduct case analyses, legal research, and draft pleadings
  • Handle fact and expert discovery, including depositions and strategic trial preparation
  • Research and draft motions, claim construction briefs, and trial-related filings
  • Work directly with clients and opposing counsel to develop litigation strategies
  • Engage in pre-trial and trial activities in high-stakes cases

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of patent litigation experience in engineering or technology-related cases
  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or physics preferred
  • Prior experience within the Intellectual Property department of a comparable law firm
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • ITC experience is a plus
  • Exceptional academic credentials from a recognized law school

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ($235,000 - $365,000) based on experience and location
