About the position
Profile
· Ten (10) plus years as a RF manufacturing engineer preferably
· Preferable sectors are high power amplifiers, cavity filters, racks and telecoms systems (Bi Directional Amplifiers)
· Other RF sectors will be considered
· Manufacturing engineering should be at the component and system level
· Must have a track record of process analysis, implementation and KPIs
· Must have a track record in scaling from prototype to high volume manufacture
· Must have either lead or had a significant contribution to implementing AS9100
· Must have big company experience and operating in a mid/small company of circa $ 20 million
Technical Skills
· Electrical Engineer or RF Engineer
· Ability to read & interpret AutoCAD electrical, electronic layout and schematics, mechanical schematics, 3-D design tools, P&ID drawings
· Experience with Mil Standards, CMM and able to interpret regulatory or customer needs
· Must understand CNC, assembly and RF test processes regarding efficiency and cost
· Problem Solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers
· Project Management: Knows how to organize people and activities; can see opportunities for synergy and integration where others can't; coordinates the diverse components of projects by quality project planning, execution and change control to achieve the required balance of time, cost and quality; manages projects according to a standard process by using a systems development lifecycle; effectively directs and integrates all aspects of a project or program, ensuring that work progresses toward achieving goals and objectives. Must be an expert user of MS Project or other professional project management tools.
· Strong knowledge of LEAN processes and/or 6-Sigma to improve operation
· Expert knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project etc
· Must be able to write clear, succinct documentation and instructions using effective visualization and descriptions
