Production Supervisor

About the position

Are you a Production Supervisor with solid metal fabrication experience who wants to play a key role in the growth of our client's company?  If so, this opportunity is perfect for you!

 

About the Role:

As Production Supervisor, reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee all manufacturing operations in a one-shift manufacturing plant.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks while addressing quality issues
  • Ensure employees follow all appropriate safety procedures 
  • Create and maintain production schedules
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Drive continuous process improvement to increase safety, quality and operations performance through implementation of Lean Principles
  • Manage operations supervisors to ensure KPI metric boards are maintained.
  • Responsible for coaching and development of the operations leadership team

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in Production Supervisor/Team Lead role
  • Metal fabrication manufacturing experience a must.   Experience with the following equipment:  welding, laser cutting, and punch presses.
  • Some experience with low volume/made-to-order production preferred
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Proficient using MS software
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
