QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required with 10-15 years industrial plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering in chemical, mineral, refineries, pulp & paper, or related PSM industries
- 3+ years Vibration Analysis and Lubrication program experience
- PE-Professional Engineer technical certification is preferred
- Project management experience, is preferred
- Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary focus is on rotating equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in support of operating unit's business goals
- Ownership of site vibration program, including training of new technicians, analyzing & providing balance corrections for rotating equipment, and participation on the Rotating Equipment Team
- Oversight of equipment lubrication program. Develop vendor goals for continued improvement
- Engineering support for Maintenance department in performing preventive maintenance (PM) and repair activities for critical plant equipment, including fixed assets and rotating machine
- Provide leadership to the mechanical maintenance resources, administering the maintenance processes and budget, monitoring performance indicators, and assisting in or executing small projects
- Advise on proper execution and documentation of repair and preventive maintenance (PM) activities for both rotating and fixed assets
- Perform safety and work quality audits of hourly employees executing maintenance activities
- Identify and interface with preferred equipment manufacturers, specialists, and technical support consultants
- Develop and maintain job plans for specific repair activities
- Develop, maintain and update maintenance documentation (e.g. repair reports, bill of materials, upgrade recommendations) for critical plant equipment
- Support site Maintenance Department planners and foremen as required
- Provide analysis of failed equipment to determine and eliminate cause
- Provide assistance with equipment performance troubleshooting as required supplying technical expertise to operations
